Poetry magazine gathers poets to enthrall discerning Delhi audience

New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): The Poetry Society (India) and the India International Centre organized a poetry session on Friday on the theme of "Images of Life in Changing Times: Poetry from 'The Seventh Quarry" here. The 'Seventh Quarry' is a poetry magazine published in Swansea and Wales. The session was attended by seventeen renowned and distinguished poets from all across India and the idea was to underline the importance of poetry in contemporary times. Multi-lingual forms of poetry was on show as poets recited their poems in English, Urdu and Odiya in a wonderful manner. The week-long awareness rally by traffic authorities concluded on Saturday with various programmes including walkathon, road shows and seminars. Many hoardings and banners were also put up that read 'Safety is just not a slogan, it is a way of life' which was also the theme of this year's Road Safety Week.
