Censor Board should be loyal to govt not to political parties, will soon be appointing new board mem

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Dismissing allegations against the government of interference and corruption by former Censor Board members, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore said that the former should be loyal to the Government of India and not to any particular political party. He said that the government had faith in the board and that is why it gave them time to work and extension of term as well. Rathore said that the government wants to stay on a positive note but now the aim is to form a new, better CBFC in a few days. Earlier in the day, I and B Minister Arun Jaitley dismissed the allegations calling the former Censor Board members 'rebels without a cause' in one of his articles. Japan Foreign Minister says will invest in India's northeast

New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Japan Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said on Saturday that Japan would invest in building roads and infrastructure in India's northeast. Building infrastructure such as power plants, industries and telecommunication hubs in the northeast would be a major contributor to connect the key region with Southeast Asian countries. Japan has promised to give India $ 35 billion for developmental projects. Kishida arrived in New Delhi on Friday to co-chair the eighth India-Japan Strategic Dialogue with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj.
