First international balloon festival begins in Bhopal

Bhopal, Feb 13 (ANI): The skies above Madhya Pradesh got dotted with colourful hot air balloons as the first International Balloon Festival began in capital Bhopal city on Friday. A three-day festival, the initiative has been taken as a part of Bhoj Adventure Fest 2015, to promote adventure sports in the state. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is also expected at the fest being held at city's Lal Parade Ground. Flying enthusiasts from India and other countries are camping in the Madhya Pradesh to enjoy sports like parasailing and paragliding. Feb 13, 2015

The office bearers and district presidents of the Delhi BJP held a review meeting in the national capital to discuss the future course of action in wake of the debacle in the assembly elections. SC stays arrest of activist accused of fudging funds for 2002 riots victims

New Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): The Supreme Court of India on Friday (February 13) stayed the arrest of social activist in an alleged misappropriation of funds case till February 19. The court asked both Teesta and the Gujarat government to file relevant documents before it. The apex court ruling came after the Gujarat state High Court rejected Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea in the case. She is accused of embezzlement of funds collected on behalf of 2002 riot victims in Gujarat. In January 2014, police had registered a case against Setalvad, her husband Javed Anand and others for allegedly usurping rupees 15 million collected by them in form of donations for turning the colony into a riots museum. Karnataka train derailment: PM Modi condoles loss of lives

New Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday condoled the loss of lives due to the derailing of the Bangalore-Ernakulam Inter City Express near Anekal in Karnataka this morning. "Saddened by the loss of lives due to derailing of Bangalore-Ernakulam Express. Condolences to the families of the deceased," Prime Minister said. "I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Railway Minister and officials are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring timely relief", ", the Prime Minister further said. The Indian Railways confirmed earlier in the day that ten persons had lost their lives and over 17 others were critically injured in the incident.
