New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): Just two days before Delhi goes to polls, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday praised the Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal. Sinha said that Kejriwal is a 'good man' and that the party's prospects are bright. He said that the fight in the national capital is between Kiran Bedi who has a clean image and has been a good officer, and Arvind Kejriwal, who too has a clean image. Further, Sinha also said that the negative campaigning that the national capital has been observing is unfortunate. He said that political parties should not indulge in mud-slinging and personal attacks but keep the politics clean. Delhi goes to polls on February 7. Counting of votes is on February 10. Feb 5, 2015

He tweeted saying, "With immediate effect, I have resigned from my membership of the Rajya Sabha. I have also decided to resign from the primary membership of the Trinamool Congress (TMC)." "During my days in custody, I finally realized that politics isn't my cup of tea. I am thankful to Didi (Mamata Banerjee) that she had thought me capable enough to make me an MP," he added. The TMC MP was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his alleged links in the Saradha scam in November last year. Vanzara gets bail in Ishrat Jahan case

Ahemdabad, Feb 05 (ANI): Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer DG Vanzara was on Thursday granted bail by a special court in Gujarat in connection with the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case. The court has asked Vanzara to submit a surety bond of Rs two lakh. Suspended Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) PP Pandey has also been granted bail in this case. The court has asked Pandey to submit two surety bonds of Rs. 50,000 each and his passport as condition for the bail. This is the first instance in which an accused has been granted regular bail in this case. Pandey was the Joint Commissioner of Police of Ahmedabad Detection of Crime Branch, when 19-year old Ishrat Jahan was killed along with three men in a police encounter in 2004. All four were shot dead by police officers who claimed that they were involved in a plot to kill Narendra Modi, who was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time. Feb 5, 2015
