1 BSF jawan killed, 3 injured in ceasefire violation By Pakistan

Jammu, July 16 (ANI): Pakistani Rangers on Wednesday resorted to unprovoked firing once again at an outpost along the international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing a jawan. Three other BSF personnel and four civilians were also injured during the firing. The injured soldiers and the civilians were rushed to the nearby hospital in Jammu city. According to reports, BSF troops, guarding the borderline, took positions and effectively retaliated resulting in exchanges which are still going on in the area. Jul 16, 2014

Shri Shakti Express to Katra stuck in tunnel for an hour due to engine failure

Katra, July 16 (ANI): The newly introduced direct train to Katra, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir, was stuck in a tunnel for an hour on Wednesday due to engine failure near Katra Railway Station. SC issues notice to states, UTs on legalising passive euthanasia

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notice to all states and Union territories on a plea for legalizing passive euthanasia. The SC has appointed former solicitor general TR Andhyarujina as amicus curiae to assist it in the case relating to legalizing euthanasia.
