CPI vows to support Telangana bill in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja on Wednesday said his party would support the Telangana bill in the Rajya Sabha. The bill is meant to divide Andhra Pradesh in two parts. Earlier on Tuesday, the Lok Sabha passed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill by voice vote. Several members of parliament of the opposition parties like the Janata Dal (United), and the Trinamool Congress (TMC), however, had staged a walkout in protest over the manner in which the Bill was tabled and passed in the House. New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Reacting on an unprecedented TV blackout in Lok Sabha during the passage of the Telangana bill in the house, Politicos said that it was illegal and strategized by Congress. BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said that if anything like this 'emergency mindset' takes place today, the house won't be allowed to function. Another party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that it was totally strategized by the Congress party. Reddy has announced his resignation and said that he can't continue. Reddy resigned from the post of CM, MLA and membership of the Congress party. The former chief minister also attacked the entire Congress high command including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh wore a deserted look on Wednesday after regional, YSR Congress Party called for a shutdown in the state protesting against the contentious proposal of bifurcating the state and carving new state of Telangana, which was passed in lower house of the parliament.
