Relief for expelled AAP MLA Binny, HC declares him independent legislator

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): In a big relief to Delhi MLA and former AAP member Vinod Kumar Binny, the High Court on Wednesday declared him an independent legislator. This comes after Binny was expelled from Aam Aadmi Party and the Delhi Assembly Speaker MS Dhir had said that despite his expulsion from the party, he will have to follow the party whip in any transaction of business on the floor of the House. Binny in his petition has sought that he be declared as an independent legislator and also objected to the whips he was issued on February 12 and 13 to vote in favour of the party in the House.

TN govt decides to release Rajiv Gandhis assassins, Politicos react

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): The Tamil Nadu Government decided to release all seven convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, including AG Perarivalan and Nalini. Speaking on the same, Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Wednesday said that after Tamil Nadu Government's decision, its the people who have to decide who is for terrorists and who is against. He further took a jibe at BJP for not uttering a word on the issue while it had bayed for Afzal Guru’s blood.
