5 Navy cadets arrested for molesting woman in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 28 (ANI): Mumbai police arrested five navy cadets for allegedly molesting a woman in a Mumbai pub and then chasing her auto. The incident took place when the 25-year-old housewife went to a pub along with her husband and a friend. The couple was dancing when the cadets allegedly misbehaved with her. The officers waited for the victim after the pub authorities asked them to leave. The victim called the police while on the chase and later, the police arrested the five accused. ACP Shivaji Rao Kolekar said that investigation is on and that the court has given them to police custody.

Sikh temporal authority holds Bikram Singh Majithia guilty of religious misconduct

Amritsar/ Maharashtra, April 28 (ANI): One of the five seats of temporal authority in Sikhism, Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, in Maharashtra, held Punjab revenue minister, Bikram Singh Majithia, guilty of religious misconduct for distorting words of compositions of the Sikh Gurus, 'Gurbani', during an election rally. Takht Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded district has declared Majithia as 'tankhaiya' (guilty of religious misconduct) for showing disrespect to the sacred compositions of the Sikh Gurus. The former president of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Laddu Singh Mahajan, said the diktat of declaring Majithia 'tankhaiya' has come amid protests by the Sikhs.

RSS ideologue calls for slapping sedition charges against Farooq Abdullah

Nagpur, April 28 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Virag Pachpor on Monday termed National Conference (NC) chief, Farooq Abdullah's comments as objectionable, and said sedition charges must be filed against the latter. Nursery Admission Case: SC asks Delhi govt if 5 more seats can be added

New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday postponed the case of Nursery admissions till 3:00 PM on Tuesday and asked the Delhi government if it can increase the number of seats to five in private schools. EC bans Ramdev in Lucknow, BJP saddened while Politicos welcome move

New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): While Election Commission’s ban on Ramdev against holding any meetings in Lucknow saddened the BJP, other political leaders welcomed the move. Congress leader Shobha Oza said that Ramdev’s place is either in jail or in mental asylum. Fire engulfs scrap yard, spreads to slum cluster in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, April 28 (ANI): A massive fire swept through a scrap yard and spread to a slum cluster in Ghaziabad city on Monday, leaving hundreds of dwellers homeless. The fire devastated the slum cluster in Bhopura area. Dozens of fire tenders had rushed to the spot to douse the inferno. There was no loss of life reported from the fire so far. An eyewitness, Shamshudin, said the deadly fire spread like a wild inferno and the cause of the fire is yet unknown.

Gilgit-Baltistan ruthlessly exploited by Pakistan

Geneva, April 28: Gilgit Baltistan that was annexed from the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir is located strategically between Pakistan, India, China and Afghanistan. It has been controlled by Pakistan for decades now, and suffers from sectarian violence, militancy, poverty and unemployment. Suspected SIMI operative arrested from Bhopal

Bhopal, April 28 (ANI): Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested suspected Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activist Gulrez Mustafa from Bhopal railway station. Action against Mustafa, a resident of Choti Gwaltoli locality of Indore, who was on ATS radar for long, came on the basis intelligence inputs. Gulrez is believed to have helped terror suspect Abu Faisal alias doctor to escape to Mahidpur via Indore after escaping from Khandwa jail on October 1, 2013. In December last year, ATS had nabbed Faisal and two accomplices on December 24, 2013. Carrying a reward of Rs 15,000, Gulrez was on the run and was arrested with Faisal in 2007 from a hotel in Indore.
