Chaos at Gopinath Munde's funeral venue; cremation this afternoon

Parli, June 4 (ANI): Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde, who died after a road accident in Delhi yesterday, will be cremated with full state honours at his native village in Maharashtra's Beed district this afternoon. His body was brought to Latur, 485 kilometers from Mumbai, this morning from where it was taken to Nathra, a 2500-strong village in Beed's Parli taluka.

BJP leaders express grief over Munde's death

New Delhi, June 04 (ANI): BJP leaders on Wednesday expressed grief over Cabinet Minister Gopinath Munde's unfortunate and sudden death on June 03. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi stated that Munde was a hard working minister who worked for the poor and backward people and his loss can never be compensated. Radha Mohan Singh said that Munde's death struck as sudden grief to all. Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath said that the increasing population in the country is a cause of mishandled traffic which leads to accidents and added that Munde's death was unfortunate.

16th LS pays homage to Munde, House adjourned till Thursday

New Delhi, June 04 (ANI): The first session of the 16th Lok Sabha convened on a sad note on Wednesday, with a tribute to senior BJP leader and union rural development minister Gopinath Munde, who was killed in a car accident yesterday. The session got underway with protem speaker Kamal Nath paying tribute to Munde and asking for the house to observe two minutes of silence. Nath praised Munde's work and recounted his long and illustrious political career in Maharashtra, which culminated in his appointment as the minister for rural affairs. Police rescue over 500 children in suspected child trafficking case in Kerala

Kozhikode, June 4 (ANI): Police rescued over 500 children in a suspected child trafficking case in Kerala.The children were brought by train from Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal, said police. The matter came to light when a five member team of senior officers from Jharkhand confirmed that the orphanages did not have proper documents of each child and the statement provided by the care takers was not satisfactory. The officer added that it could be a case of child trafficking.
