Uttar Pradesh/ Madhya Pradesh, Feb 27 (ANI): Devout Hindus revelled in the festive spirit as thousands of them thronged temples and congregated at the banks of holy rivers across India on Thursday to celebrate festival of Mahashivratri, also known as Lord Shiva's wedding anniversary, with religious fervour. The pilgrims and devout Hindus chanted holy words as they took holy bathe in the sacred Triveni Sangam, in Allahabad city of Uttar Pradesh. The magnificently decorated temples in the holy town of Ayodhya also witnessed crowd of devotees. Ganderbal, Feb 27 (ANI): An army jawan of 13 Rashtriya Rifles shot dead five of his colleagues at point blank range when they were sleeping and killed himself in Kashmir's Ganderbal district Thursday morning, said army official. The deaths of the jawans took place inside the army camp of 13 Rashtriya Rifles at Safapora. An army court of inquiry will investigate the deaths.
