Police arrest two with packets of heroin ready to be sold in metros

Khunti, Sept 30 (ANI): Acting on a tip off, police officials in Khunti district of Jharkhand arrested two drug smugglers with packets of heroin that was ready to be sold in metros. The drugs caught are of high quality. Reportedly the accused have been into this business for more than a month now. Superintendent of Police, Anish Gupta, told reporters that the heroin seized was worth a huge amount. A special team was formed after information received from Crime Investigation Department (CID) on drugs trafficking. Jharkhand, a Maoist infested region, is backward and undeveloped, where gullible people often fall prey to nefarious activities to earn a quick buck.

George Clooney's FIL 'wants to be a grandpa now'

New Delhi, Sept 30 (ANI): George Clooney's father-in-law has put "pressure" on his daughter and the actor to start having kids. Ramzi Alamuddin reportedly took to the microphone during the couple's wedding reception telling daughter, Amal Alamuddin and Clooney that now was the time for grandchildren, a web portal reported. His father-in-law had also said that the marriage was not only good for their family, but also for the Middle East.

BSE closes points 33.40 up on September 30

New Delhi, Sept 30 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 33.40 points up to stand at 26,630.51. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 5.90 points up to stand at 7,964.80. JPINFRATEC and EICHERMOTORS were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.09% and 6.31% along with APOLLOTYRE and MRF with an increase of 5.42% and 5.14% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE LTD. and GMRINFRA with a decrease of 5.33% and 4.88% along with SUZLON and DLF with a decrease of 4.78% and 4.77% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 10.33 points at 17,746.90 while the banking sector is down 82.51 points at 17,615.46 and the reality sector is down 43.19 points at 1,581.27. The Indian currency is down 0.28% at Rs 61.71 per dollar.
