Pakistan Rakes Kashmir to Divert Attention from Internal Turmoil

Muzaffarabad, PoK, November 4th, 2014: Pakistan is facing an existential crisis in its Administration and Rule of the region under its de facto control, but rather than exercising introspection and correcting its ways, the Central Government in Islamabad is playing the age old diversionary tactics of divide and rule. CBI arrests BJD MP in Odisha chit fund scam

New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): The CBI on Tuesday arrested Biju Janata Dal MP, Ramchandra Hansda in connection with the Odisha chit fund scam. BJD leader Jay Panda said that the decision is respected as nobody is superior to law and added that the party's leadership will decide the further course of action. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that the action of CBI only validates the stand of BJP that Odisha chit fund scam was originated corrupt leaders. Meanwhile, Congress leader BK Hariprasad said that the BJP and BJD which always blamed Congress for corruption have now been exposed.

Pentagon report says Pak using militants as proxies to counter India, Reactions flow

New Delhi/ RS Pura, Nov 04 (ANI): The Pentagon has brought to the attention of the US Congress Pakistan's use of militant groups as proxies. The Pentagon told the US Congress in its latest report 'Progress Towards Security and Stability in Afghanistan'. The report cites the militant attack on the Indian consulate in Herat in Afghanistan in May, which came just ahead of Narendra Modi taking charge as the prime minister. Pentagon also suggested that Pakistan's 'relationships' with militant groups is detrimental to regional stability, especially in neighbouring Afghanistan. Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju while commenting on the pentagon report over Pakistan's proxy war against the country said on Tuesday (November 04) that the nuclear armed neighbour has a policy of state sponsored militancy. Rijiju added that nothing is hidden and everyone is aware about the acts of Pakistan. Security Expert Praful Bakshi said that Pakistan has realised that their army can not confront Indian army. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Raj Kadyan said that Pakistan has been harbouring a pathological hate for India.

Japanese firms using zero emission plan to protect environment

Shi ite Muslims protest against curfew in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 4 (ANI): Shi'ite Muslims protested against the state government in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (November 04) for imposing curfew on Ashoura, which commemorates the slaying of Prophet Muhammad's grandson Hussein in Karbala in 680 AD. Several mourners came out at historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar city and protested against the curfew by beating chests and shouting slogans. They were later detained by the police. The Jammu and Kashmir government had imposed curfew in several parts of the valley to prevent Ashoura processions. Security personnel manned the streets in Srinagar to prevent any untoward incident.

Shi'ite Muslims take out procession to observe Ashoura

Bhopal/ Bhiwandi, Nov 4 (ANI): Shi'ite Muslims in India beat their chests and walked on burning coals during Ashoura processions on Tuesday to pay homage to martyrdom of Imam Hussein, grandson of Prophet Mohammed. In Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh, Muslim devotees thumped their chests, to mark the mourning day of Ashoura, one of the most important days in their calendar. A mourner Asghar Ali said that sacrifice of Imam Hussein was not for a particular religion but it was a fight against evil.

Suspended India and Pakistan border ceremony resumes

Wagah Border, Nov 4 (ANI): India and Pakistan on Tuesday resumed daily flag-lowering ceremony on the main land border crossing, a day after it was suspended as mark of respect for those killed in a suicide bomb attack on the Pakistan side near the border. At least 57 people were killed and 110 wounded when an explosion ripped through a car park about 500 metres (yards) from Pakistan's border gate just as hundreds of people were leaving after the daily performance on Sunday. In this backdrop, Ministry of Home Affairs had said the daily flag-lowering ceremony would be suspended as a mark of respect for the dead. However, later Pakistani officials changed their stance and decided to go ahead with the ritual to send a message to the militants.
