BJP releases book on PM Modi's foreign visits

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): BJP on Monday released a booklet on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits since he took over the post on May 2014. The booklet comprises of Modi's visits to Japan, United States, Australia, Nepal, among others and his accomplishments in each of the visit. Present at the occasion were PM, Party President Amit Shah, LK Advani, Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Venkaiah Naidu along with other party leaders. The party parliamentary meet also decided that Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj will make a statement in Parliament on Modi's foreign visits. Dec 2, 2014

Congress stages protest outside Parliament against 'NDA government's U-turn policies'

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi along with other party leaders staged protest outside Parliament on Tuesday over NDA government's 'U-turn' policies. Gandhi said that the party will keep protesting against the present government's policies. He alleged that the government had taken U-turns on a total of 25 issues in their 6 months of governance. New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): Veteran Hindi film and television actor Deven Verma passed away at Sahyadri Hospital in Pune on Tuesday. According to reports, the 78-year-old actor suffered a cardiac arrest and succumbed to kidney failure. Verma was the popular face in Hindi cinema, known for tickling the funny bone of movie lovers during the golden period. He has won Filmfare Best Comedian Award for Chori Mera Kaam, Chor Ke Ghar Chor and Angoor, the last being directed by Gulzar and still considered one of Bollywood's best comedies. Mumbai, Dec 2 (ANI): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday decided to keep interest rates unchanged and to stay focused on containing inflation. The RBI kept the repo rate at 8 per cent at its policy review, and there was no reduction. The reason for the interest rates being unchanged was because of the less than positive economic growth that was expected during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first six months in power. Jharkhand, Dec 02 (ANI): Voting has begun for the second phase of Jharkhand polls as voters lined up outside the polling stations to exercise their franchise.
