New Delhi, Dec 1 (ANI): The NDA government refused to make public the files pertaining to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's mysterious disappearance and death saying that the disclosure will hamper the relations with foreign countries. RTI activist Subhas Agarwal commenting on Government's refusal said that the PMO gave information regarding it but refused to give copy of the documents. Sexual assault case: No relief for Asaram, SC rejects bail plea

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday refused to grant bail to self-styled godman Asaram in the sexual assault case. The court said that one must wait for the health report to be out before taking any decision on bail. The apex court said the bail plea will be hard after a medical test is performed on Asaram on December 03. Earlier, the court asked the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to review the medical papers of Asaram and declined his plea for bail, saying that he could make a fresh application for bail after all the material witnesses in the case have testified before the trial court. It also asked the Rajasthan government to make available all the medical records of Araram to AIIMS including those that he may like the medical board to look into. Dec 1, 2014

Congress to release booklet on NDA govt's 'U-turn' in Parliament, BJP calls it desperation

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Congress on Monday is all set to release a booklet in the winter session of the Parliament on the U-turns taken by the NDA government since it came to power. The booklet will narrate the promises made by the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections and inaction by the Modi government over the same issues. Party leaders Manish Tewari said that the present government has failed in all perspectives and that needed to be brought up. Meanwhile, Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the Congress has no work and this is the result of their idleness. Naidu said that it is their democratic right and there is no harm in releasing any such booklet. The 33-page booklet would highlight over two dozen 'U-turns' by the NDA government and issues like cash subsidy and different bills like FDI in insurance and GST among others, which were UPA proposals, would be included. Gujarat businessman plays foster father to 111 couples as he gets them married at a mass wedding

Surat, Dec 01 (ANI): One hundred and eleven couples entered into wedlock during a mass wedding in Gujarat. The mass wedding was organised by Mahesh Savani, in a bid to support girls whose fathers are no more alive. In order to fulfill duties of a father, Savani himself participated in all rituals of each individual wedding ceremony. Savani said that such events send out a message that people must help each other irrespective of religion. Couples decked in traditional attires exchanged garlands and participated in the religious rituals. Apart from arranging the ceremony, Savani also organises events on various festivals and stays in touch with the couples. Savani said that his relation with the couples was not that of few hours and that he would keep in touch with them for life. At least eight people injured, several feared trapped in under construction building collapse

Loni, Dec 01 (ANI): At least eight people were seriously injured and many other are feared trapped when an under construction building collapsed on labourers at an industrial park in Loni. Around 80 people were said to be present at the construction site when the scaffolding gave way but the exact number could not be confirmed by the police. The ground floor that was under construction sprawled across a large area. NC sarpanch shot dead by unidentified gunmen

Shopian, Dec 01 (ANI): An elected village-head of the National Conference was shot dead by suspected militants at his home in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. NC village-head Mohammad Sultan Bhat, 38, was killed after suspected militants stopped his car and shot him while he was on his way home in Nazimpora on Sunday night. Bhat had died before being shifted to a medical hospital. According to the media reports, uniformed men were seen at the spot of killing. Rohtak, Dec 01 (ANI): Rohtak Police arrested three men for harassing two college going girls inside a Haryana Roadways bus. The three men - Kuldeep Singh, Mohit and Deepak - were arrested on Sunday night by the Haryana police. Police arrest hardcore Maoist in red corridor of Jharkhand

Giridih, Nov 30 (ANI): The state police arrested a hardcore Maoist and recovered explosives along with arms and ammunition in Jharkhand. Acting on a tip-off, the Giridih police sent a team to hunt the dreaded Maoist and nabbed him immediately. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Giridih, Kranti Kumar said that the nabbed Maoist had been identified as Dinesh Manjhi and was a hardcore leader and platoon commander of a Maoist organization in Jharkhand. The Maoist was pasting posters for boycotting the state elections. He had been involved in many Naxal incidents of Jharkhand. Explosives, materials for making bomb and arms have been obtained from the Maoist. New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Hundreds of people danced, sang and cheered in a gay pride parade in New Delhi, the first since the Supreme Court reinstated a ban on gay sex in the country. Participants chanting "Azaadi" (freedom) and shouting slogans such as "I'm gay, that's OK" carried banners and placards demanding their right to love. Some participants said that they had little faith that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government would revoke Section 377.
