New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): BJP leaders attacked the Congress party on Tuesday after it removed Shashi Tharoor from the post of party's Spokesperson. Sambit Patra said that this shows everything is not well within Congress but the party should learn that Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country and anybody can praise his good work. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Congress has come out with a new policy of removing people from eminent posts and in this way the party will soon be lacking leaders as everyone will praise PM Modi. Canada foreign minister meets Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday and met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj for a discussion on Canada-India relations to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries. Baird also commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child at a school in the national capital. India and Canada were expected to discuss on the bilateral issues at the meeting, including matters related to security, defence, counter-terrorism, space and nuclear cooperation. Baird, who is on a five-day visit to India, is accompanied by Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast and National Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay among others. New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday react as CBI secured details from the income tax department on purchase of one of Mamata Banerjee's paintings by Sudipta Sen, for Rs 1.8 crore. The CBI's probe into the Saradha scam is now closing in on Banerjee. BJP leaders Sambit Patra and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi condemned Banerjee and said that investigating agencies are looking into the matter. CRPF conducts community policing in red corridor of Jharkhand to create awareness

Latehar, Oct 14 (ANI): India's paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out community policing in the red corridors of Jharkhand in order to create awareness among ignorant villagers about the need to fight the Maoists. As part of campaign against them, CRPF have been setting up camps for the past 80 days in different areas of the red corridor to minimise the influence of Maoists. Assistant Commandant of CRPF, AK Mishra said that community policing was conducted in the backward areas in order to make contact with the people living there. New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the cyclone Hudhud affected areas of Andhra Pradesh in the afternoon on Tuesday, where he will undertake an aerial survey of the worst affected Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. He has instructed top officials to ensure that there is no bottleneck in relief and rescue work in the cyclone affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. He also asked them to continue to work closely with the affected states. Operations on to rescue four year old who fell in borewell in Telangana

Telangana, Oct 14 (ANI): Rescue operations are underway on Tuesday to rescue a four year old girl who fell into a borewell in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district two days back. The incident occurred Sunday morning on the outskirts of Manchala village when the girl accidentally fell inside the open borewell at an agricultural field while playing when her grandparents were working in the field. Police and revenue officials, besides teams of NDRF, fire, geologists, and a coal mining company are involved in the rescue operations. The borewell is nearly 300-feet deep, officials say. Cyclone Hudhud: Navy Chief R K Dhowan on relief and rescue operations

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Navy Chief Admiral RK Dhowan on Tuesday said that Indian Navy is lead service with regard to operation Lehar and priority is to provide relief material to the surrounding areas of Andhra Pradesh and wherever required. Naval diving and relief teams have already been deployed to the various district of the state. Efforts are also on to carry out a survey to find out the damage in the naval airport and other areas, however there is no major damage to Ships or submarines. After Cyclone Hudhud battered the Andhra coast, the Indian Navy launched 'Operation Lehar', a massive search and rescue operation, to assess the damage and rush help to areas still reeling under the effect of the devastating storm.
