Beijing, Feb 01 (ANI): Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who is on a three-day visit to China, on Sunday, suggested a six-point template for India and China to build their relations upon and to realise the dream of an 'Asian Century'. Swaraj said that the Indo-China relation has grown beyond bilateral and regional dimension and today covers entire information spectrum. Swaraj who is accompanied on the trip by Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar, said that India would make it easier for Chinese companies to do business in the country and expect that similar encouragement would be given to Indian companies to expand their business in China. Beijing, Feb 01 (ANI): The second meeting of the India-China Media Forum was jointly inaugurated by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Minister of State Council Information Office of China, Jiang Jianguo in Beijing on Sunday. The two leaders highlighted the increasingly important role of the media in enhancing the understanding about each other in their respective countries. The Chinese Minister called upon the media for an objective reporting and increase coverage on economic cooperation. About 40 journalists, twenty from each side are participating in the Media Forum. Police recover cocaine from Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko

Kochi, Feb 01 (ANI): Police arrested Malayalam film actor, Shine Tom Chacko along with four others for possession of cocaine in Kochi city of Kerala. The police arrested the five people during a raid at a flat owned by a businessman, Muhammed Nisham. Seven grams of cocaine was recovered from their possession. The other four arrested along with Chacko have been identified as Blessy, an assistant director hailing from Bengaluru and three models-Tincy, Reshma and Sneha. While interrogation, the actor confessed to having received the drugs from Goa. Reportedly, all the five people are to be produced before a session court after police questioning. Kolkata court extends judicial custody of 11 accused in Burdwan blast case

Kolkata, Feb 01 (ANI): Kolkata court extended the judicial custody of 11 people including two women, accused in 2014 Burdwan blast, till February 13. Two operatives of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh were killed in an explosion while preparing homemade bombs in Burdwan district of West Bengal in October last year. The counsel of National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the blast, Shyamal Ghosh said that a bail application has been filed by one of the accused. The pilot managed to eject safely with the help of parachute, say villagers. Officials of both India and Bangladesh meet regularly to discuss border issues, including cross-border movement of insurgent outfits. Recently, a 30 member delegation from Bangladesh was in Agartala to attend the India-Bangladesh district magistrate level Joint Border Conference. The delegation included district commissioner cum magistrates, BGB and police officials of 5 bordering districts with southern part of Tripura, while the Tripura team had DCMs, BSF and police officials of 4 bordering districts.
