This week in the celebrity spotlight: ‘The Hunger Games’ premieres in London, Lupita Nyong’o is honored as Woman Of The Year and AFI FEST 2014 brings out the stars. The worldwide phenomenon that is ‘The Hunger Games’ had its U.K. premiere of its latest installment, ‘Mockingjay Part 1’. Jennifer Lawrence looked every bit the movie star in a white, Dior gown. Joining her on the red carpet for the highly anticipated science fiction, adventure film were co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland, Jeffrey Wright, Elizabeth Banks, Natalie Dormer, Stanley Tucci, Sam Claflin and Jena Malone. Glasgow was the place to be for the MTV EMA Awards. Stars attending the much-buzzed event included, Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran, Redfoo, Kiesza, Jena Malone, Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne and even the Hoff got into the spirit by arriving in a kilt much to the photogs delight. Jodie Foster was among the honorees at Glamour Magazine's 24th Annual Women Of The Year Awards. HOLLYWOOD AFI FEST 2014 was the place to be if you wanted to see the stars. ‘Still Alice’, the heart tugging drama about the early on set of Alzheimer's disease premiered with star Julianne Moore in the title role and Kristen Stewart as her daughter. ‘Selma’, the story of the civil rights march, had a surprise screening that was meet with enthusiastic reviews. British actor David Oyelowo, who plays Martin Luther King Jr., was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Tessa Thompson, Common, Lorraine Toussaint, Jeremy Strong & Niecy Nash. AFI FEST had a decidedly Italian flavor as it celebrated legendary screen icon Sophia Loren. The Oscar winner reportedly received a 2-minute standing ovation before the screening of her films. Her ‘Nine’ director Rob Marshall, Michelle Monaghan, Sasha Alexander and sons Edoardo & Carlo Ponti Jr. joined her for the tribute. DIAMOND BAR, CA Ryan Seacrest was greeted by excited fans as he visited Diamond Bar High School whose band director is a semifinalist for the Grammy Music Educator Award. HOLLYWOOD ‘The Homesman’ rode into Hollywood for its AFI FEST premiere. Taking the reins of the western drama was director Tommy Lee Jones who stars along with fellow Oscar winner Hilary Swank who stunned in a Giambattista Valli mini-dress. Owen Wilson & Molly Quinn stopped by for support along with co-stars Hailee Steinfeld, Miranda Otto, Grace Gummer, Barry Corbin and William Fichtner.
