Deadly earthquake causes severe damage to Amatrice in central Italy

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit areas of south-east of Norica in the early hours of 24 August. The town of Amatrice was severely damaged. The mayor of Amatrice has said that half the country is gone, people are under the rubble. The earthquake is thought to have killed at least six people and left dozens trapped. Aug 24, 2016

Syrian girls song interrupted by barrel bomb in Aleppo

The video reportedly shows a Syrian girl from Aleppo singing to her mother about how she loves her parents and her family, right before a barrel bomb can be heard exploding. After which the girls mother drops the camera to rush for safety. It is understood that none of the family members sustained serious injuries. Aug 23, 2016
