Sonia Gandhi lays foundation stone of refinery complex in Rajasthan

Pachpadra, Sep 23 (ANI): UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone of a refinery and petrochemical complex, worth rupees 370 billion at Pachpadra in Barmer region of Rajasthan on Sunday. On the occasion she was accompanied by state chief minister Ashok Gehlot and India's Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Marpadi Veerappa Moily. In her address, Gandhi called it a 'revolutionary project' and said that the project would bring accelerated growth in the region and millions of people would be benefited from it. Under a joint venture, the central government owned Hindustan Petroleum Chemicals Limited has collaborated with the state government to set up this project, which would be a landmark in the path of economic development in Rajasthan. Nairobi attack: Family of 13 year old victim pray for his recovery

New Delhi/ Gujarat, Sep 23 (ANI): Grieved family of a a 13-year-old boy of Indian origin hailing from Gujarat pray for his speedy recovery after he was injured in an attack by Islamist militants at an upscale shopping mall in Nairobi. Islamist militants killed at least 68 people in an attack taking many others as hostages. The al Shabaab group that opposes Kenya's participation in a peacekeeping mission in neighbouring Somalia claimed responsibility for the attack. The Indian Foreign Ministry on Sunday confirmed the death of Indian nationals in the assault in Nairobi. Lalit Patel, uncle of the injured boy, Hrithik, told the reporter in Nadiad town of Gujarat that the 13-year-old boy had fractured his leg while trying to save his life during the attack. Militants attack CISF jawans in Srinagar market; one jawan killed

Srinagar, Sep 23 (ANI): A CISF jawan was killed and another critically injured when suspected militants opened fire at them in Srinagar on Monday. The jawans were purchasing something when the militants fired at them from point blank range. According to reports, the attack took place at the busy market place around 10:30 am.
