Harsh Vardhan visits Lady Hardinge Medical College, says facilities must be upgraded

New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Saturday paid a visit to Lady Hardinge Medical College and said that the Health Ministry is trying to upgrade the facilities in hospitals. He also said that the ministry will try to implement World Health Organization programme all over the country. Oarsmen row snake boats in rhythmic unison in Keralas backwaters

Alappuzha, July 12 (ANI): Oarsmen rowed in rhythmic unison in the backwaters of Kerala as they marked the beginning of famed snake boat race, which is one of the biggest tourist attractions and an integral part of the state’s cultural ethos. The Chambakulam Moolam Boat race started in the backwaters of Alleppey in Kerala on Friday. The race is the first one and from now on there will be more than 15 such small and big races witnessed in this season. Champakulam race which is held every year during the mid monsoon season was witnessed by scores of enthusiasts gathered from in and around the village. Mumbai: Building collapses in Colaba; one dead

Mumbai, July 12 (ANI): After Delhi and Chennai, now a building in Mumbai's Colaba area collapsed on Saturday morning, leaving at least one dead and several injured. It is yet to be ascertained what caused the building to collapse which is located at Ganesh Murti Nagar at Colaba but according to initial reports, the roof of the building caved in. DMK protest demanding CBI probe in Chennai building collapse case

Chennai, July 12 (ANI): Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party on Saturday protested in Chennai demanding CBI probe into the building collapse that claimed nearly sixty lives and injured several others. Mahua Manjhi on Bokaro rape case

Bokaro, July 12 (ANI): Jharkhand State Women's Commission Chairperson Mahua Manjhi said that strict action should be taken against those, involved in the rape of a minor girl by her neighbour on the orders of a village chief. The incident took place on July 8 after the village council chief, Bhopal Pasi of Swang Gulgulia Dhoura village in Bokaro district, gave a diktat to the accused to rape the victim. IED blast near Manipur University in Imphal, at least 5 injured
