Congress clears stand on 18 issues raised by AAP

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): The Congress on Monday sent a detailed response to Aam Aadmi Party, saying 16 of its 18 demands were related to administration which the AAP can deal with after it forms the government in Delhi. The Congress further stated that the remaining two demands - Jan Lokpal bill and full statehood for Delhi - were outside the purview of the Delhi government. The Congress, which won eight seats in the Delhi assembly elections, had offered unconditional support to the AAP to form the government in Delhi. But the AAP handed over a list of 18 demands to the Congress before it would consider the offer. Dec 16, 2013

BJP shows commitment to pass Lokpal Bill

Bangladesh sees protest and celebrations after Abdul Quader Mollah's execution

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): 42 years after Bangladesh's liberation war, the first war criminal, top Jamaat e Islami leader Abdul Quader Mollah was tried, convicted and hanged on 12 December. His execution however infuriated the Jamaat-Shibir cadres who have wrecked havoc on the streets and towns of Bangladesh, attacking minorities, burning public property and targeting intellectuals. Mollah had refused to seek presidential clemency after the Supreme Court's dismissal of his review petition.
