Oinam Bembem Devi The star of Indian women football

Manipur, July 25 (ANI): At the tender age of 10 when Oinam Bembem Devi first started playing football, she couldn_t have imagined herself playing internationals in a few years_ time. When she turned 15 in 1995, Bembem Devi made her international debut for India. It was the start of the greatest career in Indian women_s football. The 36-year-old, who hails from Pishumthong Leishangthem Leikai, is the captain of Manipur women_s football team. She represented the Indian women_s team thrice in 2003, 2010 and 2012 as the captain and aspires to be a coach after retirement. Pineapple cultivation has great potential in Manipur

In a move to motivate more farmers to grow pineapple, the Andro Kendra Development Organization organizes a week-long Pineapple festival every year.
