New Delhi, Nov 24 (ANI): As Winter session of the Parliament is all set to start on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on reaching to the Parliament said that the good work for the nation will happen in cool state of mind. He said that the parliament session will be fruitful and that all parliamentarians have a responsibility toward the nation and they should abide by the same. He said that people have given huge responsibility of running the country and the party will work for the fulfillment of the same. The Winter Session will continue till Dec 23 and will have 22 sittings.

Bombs hurled at BJP rally in West Bengal

Howrah, Nov 24 (ANI): Bombs were hurled at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally in Bandhaghat area of West Bengal's Howrah city. Two BJP workers who were reportedly injured by the bomb have been taken to the hospital. According to the media reports, the crude bomb was hurled during a clash between BJP and Trinamool Congress supporters. BJP's Howrah Unit Convener Sanjay Singh said that TMC workers were shouting slogans and disrupting the meeting that was being held in Bandhaghat. He added that the TMC party workers even clashed with the police force.

Senior Congress leader Murli Deora passes away in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 24 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Murli Deora passed away in Mumbai after a prolonged illness on Monday. Deora was unwell from a long time and was admitted to a hospital. Several Congress leaders are expected to attend the funeral which will take place later in the day. A regional party leader expressed grief over the demise of Deora. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolences on the demise of the minister. Modi tweeted, "A dedicated leader, Murli Deora's warm nature made him popular across party lines. News of his demise is saddening. My deepest condolences to @milinddeora and the Deora family on Shri Murli Deora's demise. May his soul rest in peace." "Just yesterday I had spoken to Shri Murli Deora's family and asked about his health. Very sad to hear the unfortunate news today," he added.

Catholics in New Delhi carry out procession to mark feast of 'Christ the King'

New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Catholics from across New Delhi and the neighbouring areas took out a peaceful procession on Sunday to celebrate the feast of 'Christ the King'. The celebration which marks the end of the liturgical year is an annual event and this year it concentrated on burning issues of the country. Father Stanley Kozhichira, former Media Director of Archdiocese of Delhi, said this year the Archdiocese of Delhi is emphasising on issues like violence against women and racism against people of northeastern states. Huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered in J and K

Baramulla, Nov 23 (ANI): Army personnel on Sunday recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from a militant hideout in forest area in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to Major MK Chaitanya, the security personnel had been receiving inputs for the past two and a half months about the movement of militants in woods in the district. On Sunday, after receiving a specific input, with the assistance of Special Operations Group (SOG), an elite anti-insurgency force of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the weapons were seized. The operation lasted two and a half hours. Chaitanya further added the matter is yet to be investigated.
