Three-day long Global Investors Summit kick starts in Indore

Indore, Oct 08 (ANI): Barely weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his 'Make in India' initiative, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inaugurated a three-day Global Investors Summit on Wednesday, inviting business leaders from across the world to invest in the state. More than 4,000 delegates from across the world are expected to attend the summit in Indore. The summit will also be host to 190 guests of honour and 28 state guests including ambassadors and country representatives. Addressing the gathering, Chouhan said through the summit he wants Madhya Pradesh to make an international mark.Day one was dedicated to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the state. Chouhan also declared that the state would establish a ministry exclusively for small enterprises. A venture fund will also be established to give financial help to innovators to set up businesses. Thousands flee homes amid India-Pakistan clashes

JandK, Oct 08 (ANI): Thousands of Indians are fleeing their homes in the disputed Kashmir region as Pakistan continues to violate ceasefire along the border. About 7,000 villagers living around the village of Arnia area in Kashmir gathered in schools after five civilians were killed and dozens injured in shelling by Pakistani forces close to the border on Monday. Meanwhile, villagers from Samba region also fled their homes after cross-border firing started on Tuesday evening. In Kathua district, Deputy Commissioner, Doctor Shahid Iqbal, said camps were set up in schools for migrants. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday directed the administration to take all requisite measures for ensuring safety of life of people living close to the border. AAP demands fast track registration of e- rickshaws in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 08 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party organised a gathering of electric rickshaw drivers in New Delhi on Wednesday to demand faster resolution to the ban on the vehicle in the city. AAP also demanded to waive off the exorbitant fee required for getting an official approval. AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal, said that the government should place the onus of registering various e-rickshaw models on the e-rickshaw manufacturers and not on the poor drivers. The Delhi High Court on September 09 had banned the plying of e-rickshaws on the roads of the national capital and said it will go on till the rules and regulations for them are outlined by the Road Transport Ministry. Anil Ambani takes up Modis Clean India challenge, wields broom in Mumbai

Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Modi ahead of assembly polls in Maharashtra

TV viewers could soon change service provider without switching set-top box
