EAM Sushma Swaraj meets Chinese Foreign Minister in Beijing

Beijing, Feb 01 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing. Wang Yi said that India is an important neighbour to China and it will always work towards enhancing them. Yi added that India-US and India-China relations cannot be compared but both work bilaterally to the countries. He added that neighbourhood diplomacy is always high on China's agenda.

Delhi Polls: Kejriwal attacks BJP over inflation

New Delhi, Feb 01 (ANI): AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday attacked the BJP government over its false promises of reducing inflation which were not fulfilled. Kejriwal said that BJP promised to reduce electricity and general goods' price, but it did not fulfill them. Kejriwal said that BJP claims to reduce petrol prices but the way crude oil prices have been reduced to even less than half but fuel prices are still higher.

He said that the opposition parties say Modi is ‘lucky’ and added that if he is lucky then people should not bring an ‘unlucky’ government in Delhi. He also said that the solution to all the problems of the country is development which BJP is focused towards.

Car rally in central India to boost adventure tourism

Uttar Pradesh, Feb 01 (ANI): A car rally named Agra Taj rally, was flagged off in Lucknow city on Saturday in order to boost adventure tourism. The rally reached Agra on Saturday night and resumed its journey on Sunday morning. The rally would cover a distance of 450km passing through Chambal, Jarar and Chakarnagar ravines. As many as 80 participants from eight cities across India participated in the rally, which was flagged off by UP chief minister's wife and Kannauj MP Dimple Yadav. Much to everyone's delight, physically impaired people also took part in the rally.

Pink City Jaipur hosts international stone fair

Jaipur, Feb 1 (ANI): An international exposition on stone industry is drawing huge crowd of customers, buyers, architects, builders, developers and others to pink city Jaipur. The four-day eighth edition of India Stonemart 2015 began on January 29 with an aim to showcase the world of natural dimensional stones, ancillary products and services. Around 300 participants including around 100 foreign participants are showcasing various kinds of stones and their products at the exhibition. Stonemart serves as a platform to the exhibitors to promote their products, services and brand image among the consumers from across the globe and establish business linkages. An industrialist from Turkey, Mert said Indian markets are well trusted around the world and they have been trading with India for close to 10 years.

Car rally in Nagpur for visually-impaired

Nagpur, Feb 1 (ANI): A Blind Car Rally for visually-impaired citizens began with much gusto in Nagpur on Sunday. At the rally, though the vehicle was driven by regular drivers, they were being guided on directions by visually-impaired citizens using a navigator in Braille. Around 100 visually impaired navigators were selected to drive across pre- selected city circuit. The event, which is a flagship initiative of Nagpur Round Table 83, aims at making society aware of the challenges faced by visually impaired people.

Head-on collision of two trucks kills 11 people, injures 13 others

Jodhpur, Feb 01 (ANI): Eleven people were killed and 13 others injured in a head-on collision of two trucks in Rajasthan on Sunday. The injured were rushed to a local hospital in Jodhpur for treatment. The passengers of the mini-truck were en-route to Bolunda village in Pali district to cast their votes in the panchayat (village council) polls. Reportedly, out of the 13 injured, seven are in critical condition. A survivor of the accident, Rekha said that things happened suddenly. The people travelling were artisans, all from the same village. Police also reached the hospital to take stock of the situation. The police will investigate the matter to ascertain the reasons behind the accident.
