The Chinese company ZTE Corporation is steadily increasing its hold in the smartphone market in the U.S. as well as globally. According to the market research firm IDC (International Data Corporation), ZTE sold more than 7.3 million smartphone devices and is currently placed fourth with 4.2 percent global smartphone market share lead by Samsung and Apple in the third quarter of 2012.
