Bangladesh scholars blame Jamaat-e-Islami for creating divide within society

Bangladesh, Dec 23 (ANI): Bangladesh war veterans and Islamic scholars slammed the Jamaat-e-Islami, for creating a divide within the society. Freedom fighters and social activists blamed the Islamist party for mounting tensions between the feuding parties ahead of the national elections. An Islamic leader, Allama Fariduddin Masud, urged Bangladesh government to seize the properties of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Bangladesh celebrates 42nd Independence Day as victory over injustice

Dhaka, Dec 23: People in Bangladesh celebrated the execution of Abdul Qader Mullah, a senior Jamaat leader, who was described by prosecutors as the "Butcher of Mirpur" for crimes committed by him during the 1971 war.He was executed at the Dhaka Central Jail on December 12, 2013.
