New Delhi/ Ludhiana, Feb 07 (ANI): The Delhi cabinet approved the set up of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots within a time frame of one year, following the suggestion by national capital government to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. Police officers from outside Delhi would be responsible for conducting an inquiry in the case. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said this step would ensure a speedy and unbiased investigation in the case and would help in punishing the people involved in abetting the deadly riots. Srinagar, Feb 07 (ANI): Separatists in Jammu and Kashmir hailed Pakistan’s resolution, calling upon India to remove security forces from the state and accept their right for self rule in the region. The Pakistan National Assembly on Tuesday (February 04) unanimously passed a resolution calling upon India to withdraw all security forces from the state and accept their right to self-determination. It also said that India should include the people of Kashmir in the Indo-Pak dialogue.
