Other side Pahalgam is a world famous tourist destination in Anantnag district. But tourism players of Pahalgam are unhappy as the Govt. has failed to promote it as a winter tourist destination, and very few tourists visit it during winters. Beyond this the construction of the new mini secretariat in Poonch district had made the locals happy as they felt that it would solve most of their administrative problems.
