'India first' should be govt's religion and'constitution' its holy book: Narendra Modi

Panaji, Jan 12 (ANI): While addressing 'Vijay Sankalp Rally' in Goa on Sunday, BJP's PM Candidate Narendra Modi said that 'India first' should be the government's religion and 'Constitution' should be its holy book. He took continuous jibe at Congress party and said that the nation has pledged to throw away corrupt Congress from power. Further, talking about Sushilkumar Shinde's letter on minority youths, Modi said that Shinde has no right to interfere on the same as law andorder is state matter and not of centre.

Media portrays SP as 'bad', 1 crore spent in Saifai shown as 300 crore: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, Jan 12 (ANI): Commenting on controversies which engulfed SP government in UP and the expenditure in Saifai Mahotsav, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that media knows everything but shows partial facts thereby portraying the part as 'bad'. He said that UP government spent Rs 1 crore in Saifai Mahotsav, which was portrayed by media as Rs 300 crore. He also said that the state government in giving proper arrangement and facilities to poor in the hospitals and are nowhere discriminating between Hindus and Muslim community.

Toll booth vandalized in Kolhapur, politicos condemn

Hundreds run for women safety in Bhopal

Bhopal, Jan 12 (ANI): Hundreds of people in Bhopal took part in a marathon to spread awareness on women safety. The run was organised by a voluntary women organisation. Volunteers said that they aimed at motivating women, who are often caged within the confines of their houses, to raise their voices against the violence inflicted upon them, even by their close relatives. The organisers said that their intention was to instil an unflinching determination in the women living in Bhopal by setting an exemplary show of their activities.
