Rescue officials intensify search in river for missing students in Mandi

Mandi, June 11 (ANI): Rescuers intensified search operations on Wednesday for the missing students of an engineering college who were swept away by the gushing waters of river Beas following the unannounced release of water from a dam in Himachal Pradesh. Rescuers, included teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indian Army and Armed Border Force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and divers.

VK Singh's comment on Suhag inexcusable: Capt Amarinder Singh

New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): Congress leader Capt Amarinder Singh on Wednesday slammed Former Army Chief and Cabinet Minister Gen (Retd) VK Singh for his comment on Army Chief designate Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag calling him a criminal. Capt Amaridner Singh stated the VK Singh's comment is inexcusable and he should either be removed from the Council of Ministers or quit himself.

Officials carry out rescue operation, recover bodies of two Russian tourists killed in bus crash

Uttarkashi, June 11 (ANI): Indian police and army officials continued to carry out rescue operation for the injured victims and recovered bodies of the Russian tourists who were killed after a minibus they were travelling on plunged into a river in a Himalayan valley on Monday. The incident killed two Russian tourists and injured eleven others when the bus carrying 13 people tumbled into the Bhagirathi river of Uttarakhand after careening off the mountain road.

New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): BJP's minister Gen (retd) VK Singh's tweets about Army Chief- designate Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag created a big political storm on Wednesday. V K Singh in his tweets had hit at Suhag saying he had protected unit that 'killed innocents'. Shoe factory catches fire in Agra

Agra, June 11 (ANI): Firefighters struggled to control the raging fire which engulfed a shoe factory in Uttar Pradesh's Agra city. The third floor of a shoe factory, which caught fire in Agra, was brought under control by Wednesday morning. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze.
