B-Town beauties bring the curtains down at ICW 2014

New Delhi, July 21 (ANI): Bollywood beauties Chitrangada Singh and Bipasha Basu brought the curtains down of Sri Raj Mahal Jewelers India Couture Week 2014 in true diva style. The final day of the ICW turned out to be a complete Bollywood affair with actors like Huma Qureshi and Ileana D'Cruz walking the runway for designers Rimple & Harpreet Narula & Sulakshana Monga. Dusky beauty Chitrangada opened the finale show in true Marilyn Monroe style wearing a black voluminous gown accessorizing it well with statement neckpiece by the organizers. The show was mix of pieces inlaid in gold and diamonds embellished with precious stones such as emeralds, rubies and pearls dominating the range of designs. Ending the show was Basu, who looked every bit of a bride in rusty red velvet Rohit Bal lehenga-choli matched with an elaborate polki neck piece earrings. The five huge chandeliers on stage, table tops adorned with exquisite goblets and singer Kamal Khan's live performance added to the opulence of the show giving the 6 days long fashion extravaganza a glittering ending. New Delhi, July 21 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju on Monday visited the AIIMS trauma centre and later described the killing of a Manipuri youth as serious and disturbing. He however said that the police have been quite swift in the case. A youth, Shaloni from northeast was beaten to death by a group of unidentified men in New Delhi, an incident which again raised concerns over the security of people of Northeast living in the national capital. The incident in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan raised an alarm over the growing Taliban control in the region. The people of Gilgit Baltistan are stunned by rising incidents of violence perpetrated by the Taliban. Earlier, armed extremists also massacred Shia bus passengers in Chilas and Kohistan to create sectarian strife in Gilgit Baltistan. Gilgit Baltistan is predominantly a Shia majority region. However, sectarianism was cultivated by Pakistan in the late 1980s as a negative force to change the demographic reality of Gilgit Baltistan. Guwahati, July 21 (ANI): Encephalitis syndrome threat looms large over in Assam, while experts have sounded alert due to significant rise in number of cases reported that have been tested positive. The deadly disease is gradually taking a toll in Guwahati city since the month of June and has resulted in death of four people so far. The deceased includes two adults and two children who were undergoing treatment in the Guwahati Medical College Hospital. Principal of Guwahati Medical College Hospital, Ramen Talukdar said that the patients suffering from the Japanese Encephalitis have been kept under strict observation in the hospital. Patients admitted in the hospital belong to the surrounding districts like Nalbari, Darrang and Goalpara. Around 22 districts of Assam are Encephalitis affected. Jul 21, 2014
