HC issues notice to Kejriwal and EC on furnishing false information

New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): Delhi High Court on Monday issued a notice to Election Commission as well as AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on the plea of Congress leader Kiran Walia. Walia had filed a plea over false information furnished by Kejriwal with regard to his residential address. AAP leader Ashutosh said that the party holds the Court high and will give a proper reply to the notice. Meanwhile, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said that the people of Delhi have already issued a notice to Kejriwal as he will not be able to cross single digit seats in the polls. Feb 2, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): AAP leaders on Monday held a meeting at AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal's residence in Kaushambi to discuss the issue of BJP's casteist advertisement. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that the meeting was held to discuss further action over the advertisement and added that the party will file a complaint with Election Commission in this regard. He further raised the issue of Kiran Bedi's campaign manager Narendra Tandon's resignation and said that if Tandon, who has been a loyalist of BJP since long, could not work under Bedi how she can lead the people of Delhi. AAP said that if the party leaders cannot handle Bedi for a few days, there is no way that the national capital can tolerate her governance. Meanwhile, BJP Spokesperson Harish Khurana refuted claims and said that Tandon has this habit of resigning on every issue and that there is nothing t o worry over the same. He said that Tandon has been part of the campaign committee which is headed by Anil Jain and that he was given the additional responsibility of managing Bedi's campaign soon after her induction into the party. At least 10 boys' heads tonsured as punishment at school's hostel in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Feb 02 (ANI): In another case of alleged corporal punishment in a school of Bengaluru, at least 10 boys' heads were tonsured by hostel authorities. Two boys, brothers studying in a reputed school of Bengaluru, have alleged that their heads were shaved by staff of the school hostel as punishment for not attending classes. A complaint has been filed and investigation is underway. When contacted, the school's rector said the heads of five boys were shaved with their consent for hygienic reason. Feb 2, 2015

AAP said that BJP should apologise for the act and withdraw the ad failing which the party will move the EC. Politicos react as BJP is likely to release its vision document for Delhi polls today

New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday react as BJP is likely to release its vision document for assembly elections in Delhi. The vision document is being released instead of a poll manifesto by the party for the upcoming polls. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that Delhi being the national capital needs involvement from the centre for its development and that the vision document will take the city to new levels.
