New Delhi, Oct 5 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Sunday after Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi refuting the charges of incompetence of his government in handling the situation of stampede that occurred in Patna's Gandhi Maidan after Dussehra celebrations were over, blamed the crowd for the incident. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that blaming the crowd which was subjected to panic is unreasonable. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that he should have accepted that the incident was a result of his government's incompetence and should have assured the people of Bihar that such incident would not occur in future. Poonch, Oct 5 (ANI): Pakistan once again resorted to unprovoked firing in Mendhar and Sawjian sector of Poonch district on Sunday creating panic among locals. Earlier on Friday night two people were injured in Sawjian sector during the cross border firing. Panic stricken locals on Sunday said that they are awaiting assistance even as the Indian Army is responding continuously to the ceasefire violations. Men s hockey team receives grand welcome upon arrival in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 5 (ANI): The Indian men's hockey team, which won gold medal in the 17th Asian Games after defeating Pakistan, received a grand welcome upon its arrival in New Delhi on Sunday. A group of traditional dancers performed to the beats of drums. The Indian team defeated Pakistan 4-2 to win a Gold after a gap of 16 years. India, which last won the gold in the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, has also bagged direct entry to 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro after it beat Pakistan in the shoot out. However, the Indian team's coach, Terry Walsh, cautioned the players to continue working hard. India now has a total of 57 medals, which includes 11 Gold, 10 Silver and 36 Bronze.
