Rampur, Jan 14 (ANI): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was taken into judicial custody in Rampur on Wednesday for alleged poll code violation. Naqvi's arrest took place after a local court in Rampur sentenced him to one year in jail for violating the Model Code of Conduct during the 2009 general elections. However, Naqvi was later released on bail. An FIR had been registered against Naqvi and his supporters during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections in Rampur.
