Andrew's Airbase, Jan 24 (ANI): US President Barack Obama along with US First Lady Michelle Obama left for their three day landmark trip to India from Andrews Air Force Base on Saturday. Obama will arrive in India on Sunday for the second time during his tenure, to build on what he calls one of the defining relationships of the 21st century. He was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will be the first US president to attend Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on January 26. Earlier in the day, US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle's visit to Agra was cancelled. They were to visit the Taj Mahal and spend an hour before leaving for Washington DC. Jan 24, 2015

Police rescue 250 children in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 24 (ANI): Police on Saturday (January 24) rescued 250 children in Hyderabad who were forced to work as child labourers in industries. These children were rescued during a massive search operation carried out by the police in different locations of the city. Most of the children were from Bihar, aged between eight and 13 years. These children were brought to Hyderabad after paying an advance of rupees 5000 (USD 81.40) to rupees 10,000 (USD 162.80) to their parents. Child labour is getting common in India, where slavery ranges from bonded labour in quarries and kilns to domestic work and commercial sex exploitation.
