Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas will be meeting Hazare on Monday over the issue of Land Ordinance Bill. However, the party is still undecided over joining the protest against the bill. Muthappan Mahotsavam, a two-day festival held at a Kochi temple, attracted Theyyam enthusiasts from across the state. Foreign tourists and artistes also converged at the temple to witness the "dance of the deities". The festival aims to promote ritual folk art form among city dwellers. The word 'Theyyam' is considered a derivation of the word Daivam, meaning God. State administration felicitated for rescue work during Kashmir floods

Srinagar, Feb 23 (ANI): Individuals who showed exemplary courage and selfless service to rescue people during the Kashmir floods last year were felicitated in an award function in Srinagar. The function was organised by the NGO Athwaas Kashmir in collaboration with some corporate houses. People from state administration, health department, social welfare department and volunteers from civil society were given awards for their contribution during the floods during the function. Mamata Banerjee's aide Shibaji Panja granted bail

New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): A Local court in Barrackpore in West Bengal has granted bail to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's close aide and businessman Sibaji Panja, who was arrested on Saturday on charges of financial fraud. The court granted him bail on a personal bond of rupees 50 thousand. Panja was a member of a delegation during West Bengal chief minister's visit to Bangladesh and had been detained by the Emigration Department officials in Kolkata, soon after his arrival from Bangladesh. The Delhi police had issued a lookout notice for Panja on February 19 in an economic offence case. Feb 23, 2015
