Handwara, July 10 (ANI): A militant was killed in an ongoing gun battle between rebels and India's security forces in Handwara area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir. In a joint operation launched by state police and the Indian Army, security personnel acted upon information received about presence of four to five militants in Handwara in Kashmir. Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jammu and Kashmir, Maqsood-ul–Zamaan, said the encounter began after one of the army personnel was injured in firing. Jul 10, 2014
