Tejpal fails to meet 3 PM deadline, extension plea rejected: Goa DIG

Panaji, Nov 28 (ANI): Giving updates about the Tehelka sexual assault case, Goa DIG OP Mishra said that the accused Tarun Tejpal failed to meet the 3:00 PM deadline to appear before the court and thereafter his plea for time extension for the same was rejected by the investigating officer (IO). Further, Mishra said that the time was given to Tejpal keeping in mind the time taken to travel from Delhi to Goa and that further investigations are carried on as per the law without any delay.

New Delhi/ Patna/ Kanpur, Nov 28 (ANI): BJP workers on Thursday protested and shouted slogans outside Tehelka's former Managing Editor Shoma Chaudhury, demanding her arrest for allegedly covering up the sexual assault case filed against the magazine's Editor Tarun Tejpal by a woman journalist. Number of BJP workers held demonstration outside her Saket residence in South Delhi. BJP leader Vijay Jolly even went to the extent of inking her name plate outside her residence and wrote 'accused' on the same.
