Modi pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat

New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi paid floral tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial Rajghat early on Monday morning in New Delhi ahead of his swearing-in-eremony. Modi was accompanied to Rajghat by senior BJP leaders Harsh Vardhan and Prakash Javadekar, besides others. He is due to take oath as India's next PM at a glittering ceremony that will be as much a show of his determination to be a key player on the global stage as a celebration of his stunning election victory. The CK Birla owned auto flagship Hindustan Motors, which has been making iconic brand- Ambassador, on Saturday declared suspension of work at its Uttarpara plant. The company sent a notice to this effect to stock exchanges citing low productivity, large accumulation of liabilties, critical shortage of funds and lack of demand for the core product-Ambassador cars as the reasons for the shut down.
