New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): MDMK general secretary Vaiko, who staged a protest against the visit of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa for Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony, has been detained by Delhi Police after MDMK workers broke police barricades. Vaiko, who held a black-flag demonstration at Jantar Mantar, had opposed the invitation extended to the Sri Lankan President and had asked the Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi as well as BJP President Rajnath Singh to reconsider the decision. Vaiko had earlier said at a time when everybody is expecting a dawn for Sri Lankan Tamils under Modi's rule, it is unavoidable to oppose Rajapaksa's entry into India.
