Politicos welcome court's move to reject clean chit to Raja Bhaiya

New Delhi, July 09 (ANI): Politicos on Wednesday welcomed CBI's decision to reject the closure report giving clean chit to Samajwadi Party leader, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, in the killing of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Zia-ul-Haq. CPI leader, Atul Anjan, welcomed the court's decision. NCP leader, Tariq Anwar, also backed the court's decision and pressed the demand for further investigation into the case. Echoing similar views, Congress leader Rashid Alvi said the party respects the court's decision. Meanwhile, SP leader, Naresh Agarwal, slammed the court's decision.

Writ petition filed against TMC MP Tapas Pal

Kolkata, July 09 (ANI): A writ petition has been filed against TMC MP Tapas Pal who came in controversies over his statement in which he said that he will send his boys to rape the CPI (M) women. Petitioner's lawyer Subrata Mukhopadhyay said that the case is open for hearing and the Court has questioned Pal for his misbehaviour. He added that the State will be questioned over inaction regarding his statement not considering the fact that he is a political leader.

2 dead, 3 injured in bomb blast in Faizabad Court premises

Faizabad, July 09 (ANI): At least two persons were killed and three others injured on Wednesday in a bomb blast which was followed by firing inside a court in Uttar Pradesh's Faizabad. According to reports, former UP legislator Sonu Singh's brother Monu and others were attacked inside the court. An advocate eye witness gave the account of the incident.

Politicos give mixed reactions on Modi govt's first Rail Budget

New Delhi, July 09 (ANI): The first rail budget of Narendra Modi led BJP government which was presented by Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda in the Parliament on Tuesday has drawn mixed political reactions. BJP leader Captain Abhimanyu has welcomed the budget saying that India has got such a modulated Budget after a long time. Meanwhile, NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that something new was being expected in the budget which did not come out. Need to moderate inflation a lot more: Arun Jaitley on Economic Survey

New Delhi, July 09 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday reacted on Economic Survey for 2013-14 saying that inflation needs to be moderated a lot more. Jaitley also said that the fiscal deficit for this year is projected as 4.5 and requires a downward movement. The Economic Survey for the year 2013-2014 projected the GDP growth at 5.4-5.9% for the current financial year.
