ISD facility for cross border traders in Kashmir

Poonch, July 09 (ANI): In order to boost LoC trade, the central government and the Kashmir government agreed to provide ISD calling facility to the traders of India and Pakistan for enhanced cross border communication between the nations. Custodian of Chakan Da Bagh Cross Loc Poonch, Bashir Ahmed Loan, said that the facility would allow traders to discuss issues and thus people from both sides would be benefited. The facility has also been hailed by the traders who feel that this would foster communication and benefit traders from both sides. Cross-LoC trade between Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) was started in October 2008.

TMC, AAP protest against BJP over alleged Parliament scuffle

New Delhi, July 9 (ANI): The Trinamool Congress and Aam Aadmi Party protested on Wednesday against the Bharatiya Janata Party over the alleged scuffle that took place in Parliament on Tuesday. TMC MPs claimed that some BJP MPs threatened to beat them up in the Lok Sabha and that a BJP MP was drunk in Parliament. Police arrest three Maoists in Jharkhand

Palamu, July 09 (ANI): Police arrested three Maoists with arms and ammunition in Palamu district of Jharkhand. Supervisory committee to inspect Mullaperiyar dam on July 17

iruvananthapuram, July 09 (ANI): A supervisory committee set up to raise the water storage level in Mullaperiyar reservoir to 142 feet, in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court, will inspect the dam on July 17. Additional chief secretary of water resources in Kerala said the water level in Mullaperiyar dam was low due to weak monsoon and it was difficult to share dam water with neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Kurian added the committee would be able to come to a solution only after inspecting the dam.
