While, tobacco, and alcohol taxes are increased citing health concerns, taxes on other essential goods are reduced to cater to basic necessities of common man. Jaitley proposes new AIIMS and urban development schemes in General Budget Part - 2

New Delhi, July 10 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday while presenting the General Budget in Parliament proposed to bring up new AIIMS in several areas. He added that new urban development schemes would also be set up and a particular amount has been kept aside for that. Jaitley also proposed to give a heavy amount for education in ‘madrasahs’. Handwara, July 10 (ANI): A militant was killed in an ongoing gun battle between rebels and India's security forces in Handwara area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir. In a joint operation launched by state police and the Indian Army, security personnel acted upon information received about presence of four to five militants in Handwara in Kashmir.
