New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): Hundreds of school children participated in marathon race, 'Run for Unity' in New Delhi to promote peace, brotherhood and unity among people living in the country on Saturday. The marathon touched different places of worship in south Delhi, welcoming harmony among everyone.Teenagers from various parts of the nation participated in the marathon and stopped at religious destinations like temples, mosques, churches and Sikh holy shrines en route to receive tokens with religious symbols embossed on them.Eventually when the runners reached the final checkpoint, they received a set of golden rules with underlying messages of peaceful co-existence.The event was organised by Italy based Focolare Movement at Holy Child Auxilium School in New Delhi. Goa/ Assam/ Tripura, April 12 (ANI): Voting in four states, namely Assam, Goa, Sikkim and Tripura began on Saturday, with voters casting ballots that would decide the fate of over 1.2 billion people. Polling began at 7am in four states for seven consituencies, namely three seats in Assam, two in Goa and one each in Sikkim and Tripura. Around 50 lakh voters will vote for 74 candidates in the four states. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who was amongst the early voters, pinned hopes on his party. In Goa, 19 candidates are in the fray for the North and South Goa constituencies, which will witness a single phased poll. While Assam has nearly 30 million eligible voters, Goa has over 1 million.
