Jammu, June 17 (ANI): BJP workers on Tuesday staged a protest against Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his remark on their previous protest in the state. Earlier, BJP protested against Abdullah over power crisis in the state when he had gone to inaugurate a scheme for power development. Later, in an angry rhetoric over BJP's protests, Abdullah came forward and attacked BJP calling the party as 'deceitful' and staging protests only for the cameras. Nine killed as bus falls into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh

Sirmour, June 17 (ANI): At least nine people were killed and 40 injured when a tourist bus fell into a deep gorge in hilly state of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. The bus coming from Uttar Pradesh with 55 passengers, met with the accident in Sirmour district. District officials immediately rushed to the scene with rescue and medical teams. New Delhi, June 17 (ANI): Amid reports that NDA government wants to replace governors appointed by its predecessor, Uttar Pradesh governor BL Joshi tendered his resignation on Tuesday. He has sent his resignation papers to the Home Ministry. Joshi's tenure was to end next month. His resignation could be the start of more such exits of the state governors after the new BJP government took over last month. Home Ministry sources say other UPA-appointed governors who still have two years or more to complete their term are likely to come under pressure as the government has asked President Pranab Mukherjee to ask for their resignations soon.
