Bangladesh devotees celebrate Rath Yatra with religious fervor

Dhaka, June 30 (ANI): Devout Hindus soaked in religious fervour thronged streets of Dhaka city in Bangladesh and celebrated the annual Hindu chariot festival or Rath Yatra. People, especially women, celebrated the nine-day-long festival, which commemorates a journey by Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, in specially made chariots. A student, Sushmita Das, who was a part of the grand festivity said Lord Jagannath would return to his place after nine days. The festival is celebrated on the second day of Shukla Paksha. Sriharikota, June 30 (ANI): ISRO's PSLV-C-23 rocket carrying five foreign satellites lifted off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The satellite launch carrying five satellites: French earth-observation Spot-7 satellite, Aisat from Germany, NLS7-1 and NLS7-2 from Canada, and Velox-1 of Singapore, was witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
