East Godavari, June 28 (ANI): Hospital staff worked tirelessly round the clock and kept fingers crossed on Saturday to save the lives of the burnt victims of the GAIL gas pipeline blast in Andhra Pradesh. Fourteen people were killed and 20 injured on Friday in a fire that broke out on a stretch of pipeline running through East Godavari district, engulfing buildings and burning victims to death. The Apollo hospital in Kakinada has received eight of the burn victims, out of which five suffer 100 per cent burns and their survival chances are slim.
