New Delhi, September 09 (ANI): Neil Patrick Harris has finally married his partner of 10 years, David Burtka, in a private ceremony in Italy over the weekend. The pair confirmed the wedding had taken by place via social media, as the 41-year-old actor took to Twitter saying that they "put the 'n' and 'd' in husband", the Sydney Morning Herald reported. According to reports the ceremony, which was officiated by the pair's friend, Pam Fryman, a producer/director on How I Met Your Mother, was small and was attended only by family and close friends. Panthers party seeks deferment of Kashmir polls, Politicos say EC will take decision

New Delhi/Poonch, Sep 09 (ANI): Panthers Party in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, sought deferment of upcoming state polls due to massive floods. Chief of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Bhim Singh, said he would plead the Supreme Court to set up an information centre for trapped people and ruled out and possibility of state polls. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Congress leader Manish Tewari left the decision to the Election Commission. NCP leader Majid Memon also ruled out the possibility of polls in Kashmir. The Kashmir polls are due in October-November and the Election Commission is likely to announce dates within a couple of days. India-administered Kashmir is experiencing worst flooding in 60 years, killing at least 175 and inundating homes, military bases and hospitals in region's main city Srinagar as the Jhelum River overflowed its banks. Flood Victims laud Indian Army for commendable rescue operations in JandK

Srinagar, Sep 09 (ANI): Thousands of people rescued from the flood hit areas of Kashmir, lauded the Indian Army for its commendable operation in bringing them to safety. Some 2,500 communities are destroyed or partially underwater, while thousands of people are stranded on their rooftops still waiting for rescue. Major flooding following heavy rains caught people in low-lying areas off guard and nearly 5,000 people had to be rescued by the army. About 22 Air force helicopters and four aircraft were deployed to evacuate the stranded people and to deliver relief. About 120 army units and eight teams of police reservists, equipped with boats and life jackets, were in action.
