Truce fails as Israel strikes Gaza after militants resume rocket fire

Israeli-Gaza Border, Aug 09 (ANI): Israeli tanks gathered on the border with Gaza on Saturday as a brief three-day peace crumbled on Friday after militants in Gaza fired dozens of rockets at Israel and Israeli forces responded with their own salvos. Israel launched more than 20 aerial attacks in Gaza early on Saturday and militants fired several rockets at Israel in a second day of violence since a failure to extend an Egyptian-mediated truce that halted a monthlong war earlier this week. Relative of a victim in Gaza talked about his loss. Meanwhile, Hamas blamed Israel for the failure of the talks.
