Indian worker shot dead in US

Amritsar, Aug 08 (ANI): An Indian worker, Rajinder Kumar, was shot dead at a gas station in the United States. Kumar hailed from Punjab and was working at the gas station for past three years. Brother of the deceased, Ashwani Kumar, said men of African origin shot at Kumar after robbing him. According to reports, an African-American shot dead Rajinder at an Exxom gas station in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Kumar is survived by wife Rajni Sharma and two children Saurav and Sonali. Coimbatore, Aug 08 (ANI): Just a few days ahead of the Independence Day celebrations across the country, the tricolour manufacturing business is booming in Coimbatore. Last year, over two lakh cotton flags were produced and this year, with a new government at the centre, the manufacturers have produced over three lakh flags. The flags are sent to various states like, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and within Tamil Nadu, around 5000 flags are produced daily. The flag manufacturers also said that they have manufactured tricolours for the past 40 years and 10 years ago the national flag production was very less but now the sales and production of flags has increased considerably.
